Making A Delicious Cup of Coffee Can be Magical or a Hit-and-Miss Stroke of Luck

With the proper information, anyone can brew a consistently great cup of coffee every time. Lets go through the procedures of coffee making to take the mystery and haphazardness out of this old world beverage.

First, let me say these procedures may look lengthy and intimating. Truly they are really quite logical and common sense steps that are very simple to follow. But be advised, if you do not take your coffee making and drinking experience seriously and therefore choose to not follow these steps, you are not getting the best cup of coffee that your money can buy. The choice is up to you.

Without the proper cleaning, coffee sediment and oils will settle in your coffee making device that will grow stale as they are left exposed to the air. These build up producing an off, bitter taste in the cup-quite an unpleasant experience.

Select the freshest, best quality beans available. I suggest you head to your specialty coffee purvey Silver Cup Coffee and select from their coffees. Many of people have purchased the supermarket brands of pre-ground or whole bean coffees. The problem with these coffees is you can never be too sure how long the beans sit in those chutes and, as you know, exposure to air is an enemy of freshly roasted coffee beans. We recommend your specialty coffee purveyor Silver Cup Coffee, a Seattle coffee company, not to discredit your friendly grocer, but because specialty coffee retailers are solely in the business to sell coffee beans and therefore you can be more confident their beans are fresher because they move much more rapidly than supermarket beans.

Use the best possible water available. This is key to a great cup of coffee and should not be taken lightly. When you consider that coffee is made of approximately 98-99% water, you must use good tasting water. If you use plain tap water as I do, then be sure it doesn’t have any strange flavors, odors or textures in your mouth. If it does, and you are a serious coffee-holic, then consider either a water filtration device or use a water delivery service. If you choose to use your water from the faucet, be sure it is cold and runs for a few seconds to aerate the water for your machine or water kettle.

Grind your beans just before you make your coffee to retain freshness. Select the proper grind for your type of brewing method.

Measure the coffee to be used and measure the volume of your coffee cup. I can’t stress how important this is. One six-ounce cup of coffee needs two tablespoons of coffee beans. If that sounds like a lot then you have probably been making less than full strength coffee.

Store coffee in an airtight container on your counter or shelf if using quickly. The less exposure to air and water caused by condensation in your refrigerator the better tasting your cup of coffee. If you do choose to store your coffee in the freezer, again, place it in an airtight container and use within 2-3 months.

You Could Help Raise Funds For Doctor Without Borders With coffeefundraiser.com

Most of us have heard of the wonderful work that Doctors Without Borders does for patients and their families when they are in need of help and/or information regarding care of an ill person.  There are doctors and nurses who head these organizations and professionals who do chores, errands and whatever may be needed to aid a family in patient care.  What I didn’t know until recently is that many of these services are provided by volunteers.

A few friends and I organized a fundraiser to help our local hospice organization and we were amazed at how much we could do with so little effort.  My friend Joan had once participated in a church fundraiser using “Silver Cup Coffee”. With the help of their web site, we were able to earn enough money to provide lots of equipment such as canes, walkers, bath chairs and other needed equipment as well as funding some of the volunteer’s gas money.

Silver Cup provided all of the training and suggestions to make our efforts pay off.  We’ll continue to do this each year.  Most of us thought it would be much more difficult to participate, but we’ve had people promise to work with us next time for our continued success.  We may get more help than we need!  Could that be possible?

coffeefundraiser.com Helped Save Our Grandson’s Basketball Team

When my son found that our local high school would soon be closing their doors because of lack of funds, he was really worried about his son having some supervision after school and especially over the summer.  He is a single dad and works full time.

We looked into fund raising programs and found “Silver Cup Coffee”.  We couldn’t have made a better choice.

Having limited time available, we needed lots of support, which was provided every step of the way from “Silver Cup Coffee”.  They helped us with ways to recruit helpers (without burning them out), how and where to sell and advertise our products, and how to set up at local shopping areas to maximize our time and sales.

Many parents helped us and community members were very welcoming, especially those who realized what a quality product we offered and at such a reasonable price.  We also let them know that they can continue to order on our behalf by going to our Silver Cup Coffee fundraising site on line.  We have not only saved the club for now, but hopefully for years to come.  I’m almost embarrassed to admit how easy this effort was.

Our Literacy Fundraising Campaign Was A Cinch With The Help of coffeefundraiser.com

As a volunteer for our local school literacy program, I noticed there was sometimes a shortage of supplies available.  These items were often being donated be individual volunteers but sometimes I noticed that there was a lot of “improvising” going on.  When I suggested that we do a fund-raiser using Silver Cup Coffee, some of the volunteers were skeptical about taking on more.

A few of us went ahead with the “Silver Cup Coffee” plan and the results were fantastic.  We made such a small effort with total support from the coffee people on line and over the phone.  They provided everything needed to be sure we succeeded in a short time and with very little time and effort on our part.  This wasn’t my first experience with Silver Cup Coffee.  I knew they had top quality and reasonable prices.  Now, a lot more people are hooked on the brand and the possibilities!

We’ve got a closet full of supplies, some new equipment, and a cash fund to spare for future needs.  It just makes our mission so much more fun for all.

We Make a Good Profit and Everyone Knows Our Proceeds Go to the PTA , coffeefundraiser.com

Did you ever try to get other parents to co-operate in a fund-raiser for the kids?  I think we’ve all had enough cookies and candy by the middle of the school year and people shy away when approached.  They want to help, but they think it’s a lot of work and, frankly, who really needs more over-priced sweets in the house?

We’ve come across a great, easy to follow fund-raising idea from “Silver Cup Coffee Company” in Washington State.  Almost everyone drinks coffee daily and they are going to buy it anyway.  Many are very particular about getting a quality blend like “Silver Cup Coffee” provides and they are surprised that the price is so competitive.  Once they try it, they order more.  When our PTA at the middle school started using the “Silver Cup Coffee” plan, we found that it was very easy to follow and took very little effort.  We’re all busy and love to find something we can enjoy doing for the school, especially when it makes us look like we worked so hard.

Some of our customers have continued to order “Silver Cup Coffee” on line and our school receives a residual income from those orders also.  There was a web-site they could go to and click on our school to benefit from the sales!

coffeefundraiser.com Helps Senior Housing Center

We just had the best time at an Easter celebration dinner at my mother’s senior housing center.  Each year they use whatever funds they have available to host a “pot luck” dinner and sometimes they are not so successful.  Several months ago, we discovered “Silver Cup Coffee” and their on-line fundraising plan.  We organized our family and a few others to raise money for the senior’s holiday fund.

This Easter dinner was the best ever.  We were able to provide a catered affair and also held an Easter Egg Hunt for the residents.  Our family and some of the residents and their families got involved and we provided some plastic eggs filled with treats and cash; enough so that everyone was able to benefit and have a good time.

We were so successful, that we were able to contribute to the holiday fund to assure that future holidays will continue to be more special.  Without the help of “Silver Cup Coffee”, I wouldn’t have believed it could be so easy to get others involved and help them help themselves.  We have volunteers asking to help us when we do it again!
